Tumbo Usu

Timothy Tumbo Mwania, professionally known as Tumbo Usu, is a highly influential Kenyan Newskul Benga artist, songwriter, and producer, often dubbed the "King of Newskul Benga" (a genre also known as Kanindo or Afro Champeta). He is celebrated for his sweet, authentic African rhythms and for promoting Kamba culture through songs written predominantly in his native language and Swahili. Having overcome early struggles in Nairobi's music scene, his return to roots and subsequent rise to fame was propelled by his unique musical fusion and the captivating energy of his signature dance style, Kyembeka, earning him a devoted international following.
